13.08.09
I am not usually acquainted with being morbid.
But today  it is an ardent companion.
I tell Charlotte (Thank you friend for bearing with me and being so sweet) in school constantly with "There is no more hope in life." etc etc.
I feel my heart melting into the inner recesses
of my being. No, not in the love-struck way.
But in the way in which you feel when you have reached the end of the road while chasing, happiness?

16.08.09
Despite this all, God manifests in all His mercy towards me. Who am I to feel so desperately hopeless/faithless when He has done so much for me my whole life.
I have experienced His grace and power expressly this week and am humbled, grateful.
Nothing, nothing could have done what my Lord has done for me. No one posseses the extent of his power to do what He has done for me in His life. Thank you thank you thank you.

"God is all powerful, mighty to save." I say it with total conviction.

TGIF!<3 Picture-heavy post + fun over the Nat'l Day/Post Prelims weekend!

I always bubble over with patriotism during Nat'l Day, propaganda does its job. Only Nat'l Day though, the rest I must sadly say is spent over insulting the education system though I know it does me some form of good, but the torture while I am stuck in it is easy to relate to I think. But NDP this year was pretty nice, I got to watch the last bit of the parade after coming home and I think our prime minister looks v v cute when he is clueless, ok I hope I don't get sued or anything for saying this? Anyway the weekend, I used with full blast, playing v v hard after the prelims, spending it with almost everyone I love, pictures under cut. :)

"These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder, Which, as they kiss, consume. (Romeo and Juliet, Act II, Scene VI )"

I am just dying to watch the 1968 version of Romeo And Juliet played by Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey (Isn't she just breathtakingly beautiful?)

(/edit)
Alex says Romeo looks like Zac Efron. Hmm when I take a second look, I think he is just as cute if not cuter.
And Lynnette says Olivia Hussey wasn't allowed to watch her own movie because she went nude in it. Hahah but doesn't she get to see her own self nude everyday, so why shouldn't she get to watch it if other people can and its her own body? Okay nevermind I am rambling and I don't make sense.

But point taken, Lynette would you like to watch it with me? :)

I know its the week during prelims, and I shouldn't be doing this but I am so caught up in reading The Painted Veil, I am not studying as I should. Sometimes I think the library does do me more harm than good. But yesterday was just bliss. After SS which ended at 0930, a group of us went down to Novena for food before heading back to study camp again. And then we wound up in the library where we sat in very nice silence and pored over poetry and books, until we started talking about the movie, Love In Time Of Cholera. From what Shuli describes, it is painfully sweet considering  that someone would wait for his love for fifty and six years, awww.

Anyway we have been thinking how nice it would be to have someone who appreciated poetry just as much as I did. To be able to write me beautiful letters both in prose and poetry would be very very nice. I shall want to find him some day. I wish I had more time to read poetry and understand it and delve into its depth and figure out human truth and love. I think study camp has an influence on me. Not that we don't study, okay fine yesterday we didn't, but we had very good conversations revolving around love and friendship, and our perceptions and what we want. Salome especially for she is a hopeless romantic sometimes.

This week has been trying, I think prelims are out to kill us. But good things have happened this week, like getting to talk to Cornelius about his problems and my own. It is very nice to have someone whom I can actually relate too, and I think that he is very enduring for the trial he is bearing now. I cannot say more for I am forced to secrecy about his secret. But my dear friend if you ever chance upon this post, remember to take heart and be strong, you shall come out all the better in the end.

Today I am supposed to decide. Either my whole heart or a whole night.
This is proving difficult, as I weigh the pros and cons of the matter, I am at a loss. There is so much to struggle between choosing and I hope I make the right decision.

That aside, I am now two-thirds away from being set free from the clutches of Chinese!! *beams*
CHINESE ORAL IS OVERR CHINESE ORAL IS OVERR!
I mean, don't you think 5 minutes of trying so hard to form complete, unbroken, fluent sentences of chinese is torture enough? Especially when you have two chinese laoshi's staring gravely at you, trying to comphrehend every word of your broken, primary school chinese.
Btw diid I ever mention that I love my class, its lovely having so many people nearby to support you, people who are able to look at the bright side of everything and find something to laugh at in all the gloom. Salome especially, she is classic. We just sat there laughing till our sides hurt at what she did during oral aka flirting with the examiner, and pretending to sneeze everytime she had no idea what to say!
Nonetheless I honestly do thank God for His providence, I couldnt have survived this if not for His grace!

Anyway, I have developed a new obsession with flickr, especially with Shuli's flickr : http://www.flickr.com/indianarose which makes me yearn and yearn that someday I might own my own dslr + holga+ fisheye and take tons of dreamy pictures! Shuli takes lovely pictures, and she has plenty of her own style which she emanates in her photographs.
